Rules & Regulations
Appliances and other mechanical/electrical items in cottages are not guaranteed. In the event of a mechanical/electrical problem
Port Hood Place (PHP) will arrange for any necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Occupancy is strictly limited to the number of persons given at the time of reservation.
Additional charges and/or termination of your rental may result from non-compliance with this policy.
Do not move or re-arrange any furniture.
PHP is not responsible for personal items left in the rental unit.
Rental Dates
High Season Rental Rates are charged from July - August
Low Season Rental Rates are charged from May - June and September - October
Units can be rented with a three night minimum in the low season only.
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in is anytime after 4 PM on your day of arrival.
Check-out is anytime before 10 AM on your departure date.
Your door entry code will be provided before the arrival date via email once the rental balance is received.
Booking Deposit
A deposit is required upon booking:

We accept Visa, MasterCard, e-Transfers and cheques for booking.
All rates are for maximum occupancy per unit
***Credit card payments will be charged a 3% convenience fee***
***There will be no convenience fee on e-Transfers and cheques***
A rental is not considered booked until a booking deposit has been accepted.
Security Deposit
The security deposit is due within seven (7) days from the date of arrival.
PHP may deduct from this security deposit any reasonable charges for the following:
failure to clean, failure to remove trash/recycling, late check-out (after 10AM), having a pet in the property, smoking in the units, any repair costs arising from the renters occupancy of the property.
The security deposit will be returned to the renter 14 days or sooner after check-out subject to the above conditions.
Security deposits MUST be paid by Visa and MasterCard payments.
Final Balance Payment
The final balance due must be paid in full 30 days before your arrival date.
Final balance payments MUST be paid by Visa and MasterCard.
Cancellation Policy
Should a renter cancel a reservation 30 days or more prior to arrival they will receive the rent deposit back, minus a $50.00 handling fee.
If the reservation is cancelled fewer than 30 days of arrival there will be NO refund of any rental monies paid.
If a refund in deposit is warranted the rental deposit will be refunded in full 30 days from cancellation.

Telephones are for local calls only (calling card required for long distance calls).
Wireless internet service.
2 BBQ grilles are provided for cooking outside

Internet Services
PHP provides a wireless internet service and access instructions are provided for each unit.
PHP Wireless Internet Service is complimentary and not guaranteed.
In some cases, computers will have protective firewalls that do not allow them to access the internet service.
Regardless of the various reasons, internet service is not guaranteed.
What to Bring
Beach towels and beach chairs
Paper products are provided to get you started:

Cleaning products are also provided to get you started:
2 trash bags, dish soap, 2 dishwasher detergent pucks, 2 bars of hand soap
Cleaning Information
Renter is required to leave the property in a reasonably clean and neat condition upon check-out.
A cleaning staff will clean the unit after each rental.
Please leave each unit reasonably clean, undamaged and ready for the cleaning staff to prepare the unit for the next renters.
Failure to leave the property in clean condition may result in a cleaning charge deducted from your security deposit.
Unit cleaning required but not limited to:
• Hard floors: swept of large debris
• Carpeted areas: free of larger debris (including all rugs)
• Kitchen: all appliances wiped off, dishes cleaned (full sized dishwasher in each unit), dried and put away, counters and stove tops wiped clean of large debris, sinks cleaned of large debris, refrigerator, microwave and stove wiped clean of large food stains inside and out
• BBQ grilles should have propane turned off
• Bathrooms: please leave all towels in the bathtub or shower stall
• Bedrooms: blanket(s), mattress pad(s) and pillow(s) should be free of noticeable stains
• Bedrooms: please place all sheets and pillows on beds before leaving
• Trash: please place all trash in large garbage bags and place in the wooden bin at the end of the driveway
• Garbage pick up at the property is on Tuesday morning, please have trash outside the night before
• Please remember to turn off any appliances such as TV, VCR, DVD, radio, coffee maker, etc.
• Close and lock all doors before leaving

• No pets on the property
• No smoking within the units
